Cardiothoracic Surgery Locums Job Call Coverage | Northeast Florida | Call Coverage in July, September & October 2026 + Ongoing

Jackson and Coker’s valued client in Northeast Florida is seeking a Cardiothoracic Surgeon to provide locum tenens call coverage beginning in July 2026, with the opportunity for ongoing support. The facility has recently revitalized its heart program and onboarded a newly hired CT Surgeon who is currently serving as a solo provider to help drive increased surgical volume.

The ideal candidate would be locally based and require minimal travel and lodging support (although this is not a firm requirement). This teams' top priority is to partner with a physician who can complement their growing program and serve as a reliable, longer-term source of coverage and collaboration moving forward.

Seeking 24-hour call coverage on the following dates (open to partial coverage if necessary):
* 7am 7/14 - 7am 7/28 (Two consecutive weeks, Tues-Tues)
* 7am 9/16 - 7am 9/28 (12 consecutive days, Wed-Mon)
* 7am 10/18 - 7am 10/25 (1 week, Sun-Sun)

Details/Requirements for Assignment #114942:
+ Active Florida license + DEA required
+ Seeking candidates that are Board Certified and/or truly Board Eligible 
+ Will have inpatient APP support that will assist with rounding & work in the OR as 1st assist (does EVH) 
+ Will be covering a solo-CT Surgeon that joined the team in late summer & allowing him time off call
+ Volume: facility is doing between 200-225 heart cases per year (all CT - no CVT), averaging between 4-5 cases/week
+ Coverage is 24-hour call coverage only, to include rounding, new consults, emergent procedures + at times will have scheduled cases/block time
+ Facility detail: not a designated trauma, 375+ bed facility, quick cred process, Epic EMR
