Cardiothoracic Surgery Locums Job in Kentucky | Holiday Coverage + Ongoing

One of our partner facilities is seeking locums CT Surgery coverage for the upcoming holidays plus potential ongoing weekend call coverage throughout 2027.

Job Details/Requirements: 
--Coverage need: Vacation/holiday coverage
--Dates: November 24-30 and December 22-30 + Ongoing coverage dates available as needed- mainly weekends
--Coverage includes: Inpatient rounding (2-4 hours per day), OR coverage (3 days plus 1 angio), Emergency department consults, Office/clinic responsibilities as needed, and Angio coverage
--Admissions and ICU are handled by and MD or hospitalist
--Skills/Procedures required: basic cardiac, thoracic, and vascular procedures + potential Vein harvesting
--Not required: Transplant surgery, Ascending aortic dissection cases, and TCA procedures.
--Case Mix: 30% Cardiac, 30% Thoracic, 40% Vascular
--Patient Volume:10-15 operative cases per week + Average inpatient consults: 5-10 per day

Schedule and Call Details:
--Weekend coverage mainly needed: Friday 7am - Monday 7am
--24-hour call, 7am-7am
--Callback: Several patient calls per shit, occasional overnight callback

Facility Details: 
--EMR: EPIC
--Beds: 150
--Not a trauma center
--10 OR suites
--Support staff: Limited APP support, APP supervision required, Dedicated OR team

Candidate Requirements:
--Board Certified Cardiothoracic Surgery (ABTS)
--Active Kentucky license and DEA
--Recent operative case longs (2 years)
