Thoracic Surgery Locums Job in Virginia | 24-Hour Call | Specific Dates in January and February + TBD Ongoing 2026 Coverage | Assignment #112639

Coverage Dates :
-- January 16 starting at 5:00 p.m. – January 19 ending at 7:00 a.m. 
-- February 6 starting at 5:00 p.m. – February 9 ending at 7:00 a.m. 
-- Additional dates beyond February to follow once schedules are finalized

Shift Descriptions:
-- 24-hour call, 7am-7am
-- Call ratio: as needed

Requirements:
-- Board certified
-- Must be licensed in Virginia
-- ACLS and BLS certifications
-- Provider must be local
-- Procedures include: Bronchoscopy, Robot-Assisted Thoracic Surgery, Video-Assisted Thoracoscopic Surgery (VATS), Navigational Bronchoscopy, Endobronchial Ultrasound (EBUS), Endoscopic Ultrasound (EUS), Tube Thoracostomy, Tracheostomy, Pericardial Window, Thoracic Aortic Aneurysms, Mediastinoscopy, Segmentectomy, Lobectomy, Bilobectomy, Pneumonectomy, Thoracotomy, Decortication

Additional Areas of Care: 
-- Achalasia / Advanced Lung Disease (COPD and Pulmonary Fibrosis)
-- Anti-Reflux Surgery / GERD
-- Barrett’s Esophagitis /Chest Wall Tumors and Reconstruction
-- Diaphragm Plication / Diaphragmatic Hernias
-- Dysphagia / Esophageal Cancer
-- Lung Cancer / Lung Nodules
-- Mediastinal Masses / Mesothelioma
-- Pleural Effusion / Pneumothorax
-- Rib Fractures and Plating
-- Thoracic Outlet Syndrome / Thymomas
-- Tracheal Stenosis / Tracheostomy

Assignment Details:
-- Hospital-based, mostly acute care
-- Average number of cases per day: 2-3
-- EMR: Epic
-- Estimated credentialing timeframe: 120 days
