Cardiovascular Surgery Locums Job in Colorado | Weekend Call Coverage | August Start | Assignment #109877

Coverage Needs: 
-Weekend Call coverage with some sporadic weekday coverage as needed.
-24-Hour Beeper Call, Friday 6:00a – Monday 6:00a

Assignment Details/Requirements:
-Replacement of staff
-Population: Adult
-Must be Board Certified
-Active Colorado license or IMLC
-Case logs from past two years
-ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA)
-NO malpractice or background issues
-COVID vaccination
-Facility Information: Trauma Level 1, 400 staffed beds, 12 ICU beds
-EMR: EPIC

Required Procedures:
-General CV/Thoracic Surgery - open
-Coronary artery bypass surgery - on pump & off-pump
-Congenital defects (ASD< VSD, PFO, etc.)
-Valvular Repair & replacement
-Aneurysm Repair - Cardiac  & Aorto-thoracic
-ECMO Cannulation and Patient stabilization for transport to academic center in Denver.

Preferred Procedures:
-Evaluation and management of acute vol /BP issues
-Insertion of Central Line, Arterial Line, PA catheter, IABP
-Support Staff/Team Structure: 2 physicians, 5 mid-levels
-No other thoracic surgeons will be present during locum call coverage
-Required to supervise and provide clinical oversight as appropriate while on call.
-Volume: 1-2 Admissions, 8-10 ICU patients, 1-2 surgeries per day
