Surgery-Cardio Vascular Hospital Based job located in Colorado

Central Colorado facility
seeking a locum Cardiovascular Surgeon for ongoing coverage
--24 hour call coverage needed
--6a-6a Call Coverage: weekends with some sporadic week day call coverage
--100% Adult
--10-15 hospital-based patients on average per day
--PPD: 1-2 Admissions, 8-10 ICU, 1-2 Surgeries
--400 Total number of beds
--12 ICU Beds
--2 Physicians in practice, 5 Mid-lvels
--Reason for coverage: change in staffing, looking to backfill
--Level 1 trauma
--EMR: Epic
--2 Physicians
--Required to supervise and provide clinical oversight as appropriate while on call.
--No other thoracic surgeons will be present during locum call coverage. 
--Required Procedures: 
   - General CV/Thoracic Surgery - open
   - Coronary artery bypass surgery - on pump & Off-pump
   - Congenital defects (ASD< VSD, PFO, etc.)
   - Valvular Repair & replacement
   - Aneurysm Repair - Cardiac  & Aorto-thoracic
   - ECMO Cannulation and Patient stabilization for transport to academic center in Denver. 
   - TAVRs, Lead Extraction
   - Mitraclips
   - Aortic work emphasis a +.
--Preferred Procedures: 
   - Evaluation and management of acute vol /BP issues
   - Insertion of Central Line, Arterial Line, PA catheter, IABP
--Required: Board Certified, CO license or IMLC, must be able to perform heart surgery, Dissections (with proof of recent case logs to back up), Strong surgical case volume, ACLS, BLS, clean background, covid vaccine
