Cardiovascular & Thoracic Surgeon Locums Call Coverage Job in Northeast Florida | May 24 Hour Call Coverage and Intermittent Dates Ongoing

Jackson and Coker's valued client located in northeast Florida is seeking a Cardiovascular & Thoracic Surgeon to assist with intermittent locum tenens coverage starting in May 2025 + ongoing. The facility recently revamped their heart program & has an interim CT Surgeon assisting with/growing their program until their permanent physician starts in mid-August. They are hoping to identify a surgeon that is proficient in all: Cardiovascular & Thoracic Surgery to assist with coverage as needed & to diversify their program; however, they are also open to Cardiothoracic (only) Surgeons.

Seeking 24-hour call coverage on the following dates: 
* Friday, May 16 at 5PM - Sunday, May 19 at 7AM (will need to arrive earlier on Friday to do orientation/training)
* Wednesday, May 28 at 7AM - Wednesday, June 4 at 7AM
+ intermittent ongoing coverage 

Details/Requirements for Assignment #109213:
+ Active Florida license + DEA required
+ Seeking candidates that are Board Certified and/or truly Board Eligible 
+ No current APP support - this is being worked on (actively recruiting for vein harvesting support)
+ Will be covering a solo-CT Surgeon that is assisting the facility with revamping their program (new staff coming on in August)
+ Facility recently took over the CT Surgery program after having it grouped out for over a decade, therefore, the goal is to slowly increase cases/volume
+ Weekend will be 24-hour call coverage only, to include rounding, new consults, emergent procedures 
+ Weekday coverage will be 24-hour call coverage but may also include some scheduled surgeries/block time 
+ Facility detail: not a designated trauma, 375+ bed facility, quick cred process, Epic EMR
