Podiatry Surgery Locums Job in South Dakota - Starts Fall 2025

Seeking 14 days per month – Inpatient/Clinic.

Jackson and Coker is partnered with a cutting-edge hospital in South Dakota seeking Surgical/Wound Care Podiatry locums coverage for future 2025 dates. Are you or a colleague available to help starting later this year? I look forward to hearing from you!

-Indicate if you are licensed in South Dakota or willing to license
-Indicate if you have any medical malpractice settlements (including dismissed and pending)
-Indicate if you have anything that will come up during credentialing (NPDB reports, adverse actions from hospitals, state license boards, criminal background issues, etc)

Details/Requirements for Assignment:
--Board Certified or Board Eligible - ABFAS board certified preferred 
--Active South Dakota license (J+C can help with licensing: takes 8-10 weeks)
--Two weeks per month
--Surgical and/or non-surgical case 
--Current schedule is Monday -Friday – half a day in clinic half a day in hospital/surgery. If consulted later in the week, can perform surgeries on the weekend as clinically indicated.
--Most consults at the hospital are foot and ankle wound care, amputations, excision of bone, debridements, removal of foreign bodies
--Would also work in the wound care clinic.  This is where he/she performs their surgical FU clinics for inpatients as well as seeing new consults for wound related patients.
--There are two NP’s in the clinic who see their own load and could refer over. There is RN support for the podiatrist.
--Up to 6 new consults a day but usually much less than that
--Approximately 24 cases per month
--Work extensively with Hospitalists, General/Trauma surgery, Vascular, Orthopedics, Wound care, Infectious Disease
--EPIC EMR, 350+ bed hospital, Level 2 trauma center
