General Surgery Locums Job in New Mexico | 24-Hour Call | 3/30/2026 - 4/9/2026 | Assignment #114117

Coverage Needed:
-- 3/30 – 4/9
-- ER/Trauma and Inpatient 

Shift Description:
-- 24-Hour Call, 7am-7am
-- Call response time of 30 minutes

Requirements:
-- Board certified or board eligible
-- Must be licensed in New Mexico
-- ACLS, ATLS, BLS
-- New Mexico DEA and Controlled Substance License
-- Procedure/skills: Adult/Pediatric/Trauma, Laparoscopic surgery (Appendectomy, Cholecystectomy, Hernioplasty), Chest wall/pleural procedures, GI endoscopy – Upper and Lower (Sigmoidoscopy, Colonoscopy), Chest tube and central line insertion, PA Catheter placement, Vascular access devices, Atresia (Intestinal, Biliary), Abdominal wall defects, Umbilical defects (Hernia), Diaphragmatic hernia, Imperforate anus, and PDA ligation 

Assignment Details:
-- Level III trauma facility 
-- Patients per shift: 1-5
-- EMR: Cerner
-- Temporary privileges available
