A health system is seeking a General Surgeon for locum tenens coverage.
The facility is located in Eastern North Carolina.
Coverage is needed from July 2 to July 7, 2025 (7 a.m. to 7 a.m.), with optional clinic follow-up for OR cases one day a week. This opportunity includes routine general surgery in both inpatient and outpatient settings. The provider will be on 30-minute beeper call but not required to remain on-site. The facility offers strong surgical and hospitalist support, including five ORs and a DaVinci robot. Daily clinic volume averages 15 patients, with approximately 70 surgical cases per month. The provider will handle all general surgery admissions but no ICU or critical care procedures. The hospital is a 142-bed, Level III trauma center with radiology and anesthesia support, and nearby access to a Level I trauma center. BLS and ACLS (AHA) are required.
