The position requires performing approximately 50 surgical cases monthly including emergency procedures such as appendectomies, strangulated hernias, cholecystectomies, and incision and drainage procedures. The surgeon will not be required to remain on-site while on call and will not respond to codes or serve as backup in the emergency room.
