About the Clinician's Workday

The position requires providing comprehensive general surgery coverage with 24-hour call responsibilities for inpatient services. The clinician will manage an average of 7-8 patients daily while handling 1-2 admissions during day shifts and 1-2 overnight admissions. Responsibilities include performing approximately 50 surgical cases monthly with focus on emergency procedures such as appendectomies, strangulated hernias, cholecystectomies, and incision and drainage procedures. The surgeon will maintain board certification standards and provide independent surgical decision-making while coordinating with nursing staff and support personnel to ensure continuous patient care throughout the assignment periods.
