Coverage Details
-- July 10 – July 13, 7a – 7a
-- July 24 – July 27, 7a – 7a
-- Estimated credentialing timeframe: 14 days

Shift Details
-- 24-hour call shifts
-- Call coverage only (beeper call)
-- Call response time required: within 20 minutes
-- Provider must remain within 20 minutes of the facility while on call

Requirements
-- Board Certified in General Surgery
-- Active North Carolina medical license
-- North Carolina DEA
-- Credentialed with North Carolina Medicaid
-- Credentialed with Medicare, Medicaid, and enrolled with PECOS
-- Clean background - highly preferred
-- No recent or open malpractice cases

Required Procedures / Skills
-- General surgery: Adult, Pediatric, Trauma
-- Laparoscopic surgery
-- Appendectomy
-- Cholecystectomy
-- Hernioplasty
-- GI endoscopy: Upper + Lower (Colonoscopy)
-- Chest tube insertion
-- Central line insertion
-- PA Catheter placement
-- Vascular Surgery
-- Aneurysm repairs: Thoracic + Abdominal
-- Artesias: Esophageal + Intestinal
-- Umbilical Defects: Hernia
-- Breast Surgery - lumps and bumps
-- abscess drainage

Assignment Details
-- Practice setting: Inpatient
-- Resident or teaching supervision required
-- Bread-and-butter general surgery cases
-- EMR: Meditech 6.1
