Daily responsibilities include responding to emergency department consultations, performing surgical procedures, and maintaining continuous surgical coverage for the facility. The position requires board certification in General Surgery with prescriptive authority essential for independent surgical decision-making. The surgeon must coordinate care with multidisciplinary teams while ensuring quality patient outcomes across inpatient surgical services throughout the assignment period.
