General Surgery Locums Job in Oregon | Clinic Hours Plus Call | Immediate Start and Ongoing For One Year | Assignment # 111262

Coverage Needed:
-- Immediate and ongoing for 1 year
-- Scheduled clinic hours plus call
-- 7-10 day blocks

Shift Description:
-- Clinic hours: 8am-5pm, Monday - Friday
-- 24-hour call

Requirements:
-- Board Certified
-- Must be licensed in Oregon
-- BLS, ACLS, PALS, and DEA certifications

Procedures:
-- Diagnostic/Screening Colonoscopies
-- Cholecystectomy, Appendectomy, Hemorrhoidectomy
-- Hernia repair with mesh
-- Diagnostic EGD
-- Excision of breast/skin
-- Repair abdominal wall with synthetic substitute

Assignment Details:
-- Provide post-op care, perform emergency surgery, and conduct scheduled consultations
-- EMR: Meditech in hospital, eCW in clinic
-- Average callback hours: Weekday: 7.4 hours, Weekend: 9.3 hours
-- Typical schedule:

Monday: 
Clinic: 8:00 am to 5:00 pm (14-16 patients)
Night call: 5:00 pm to 7:30 am the next day

Tuesday: 
Surgeries in the OR: 7:30 am to 12pm
Clinic: 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm (10-12 patients)
Night Call: 5:00 pm to 7:30 am the next day.

Wednesday: 
Surgeries in the OR: 7:30 am to 4:00 pm
Night Call: 4:00 pm to 7:30 am the next day.

Thursday: 
Surgeries in the OR: 7:30 am to 12pm
Clinic: 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm (10-12 patients)
Night Call: 5:00 pm to 7:30 am the next day.

Friday: 
Surgeries in the OR: 7:30 am to 4:00 pm
Night Call: 4:00 pm to 7:30 am the next day.

Saturday: 
On Call: 7:30 am to 7:30 a.m.

Sunday: 
On Call: 7:30 am to 5:30 am Monday
