General Surgeon Locums Job in Texas | Bread & Butter with Limited Trauma

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced General Surgeon for a high-volume locum tenens assignment in Texas. This is an ideal opportunity for a surgeon looking to supplement their schedule with consistent monthly shifts in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Position Overview
--Schedule: 5-7 days per month (ongoing throughout September 2026).
--Shift Structure: 24-hour on-call coverage only.
--Location: Northeast Texas (High-acuity, busy facility).

Clinical Impact
--Daily Patient Volume: 12–17 patients per shift.
--Emergency Response: 5–9 trauma-related ER visits per day. (Level IV)
--Surgical Breadth: Average of 2–4 surgical cases per 24-hour shift.

Candidate Requirements
--Board Certification: Required
--Texas State Medical License: Required
--Certifications: Current ATLS certification is mandatory
--Expertise: Ability to thrive in an extremely busy environment with a high volume of trauma cases
