Surgery-General Hospital Based job located in Vermont

Medical Group is seeking BC/BE General Surgeon to join our collaborative surgical team
- Full-time position, 8am-5pm
- Provide comprehensive surgical care across inpatient, outpatient, and emergency department settings
- Perform a broad range of general surgery procedures including hernia repair, cholecystectomy, endoscopy, appendectomy, small bowel obstruction management, colorectal surgery, and skin/soft tissue procedures
- Evaluate and manage acute and chronic wounds within a multidisciplinary Wound Clinic model
- Diagnose, treat, and manage a wide variety of surgical conditions using strong operative skills and clinical judgment
- Collaborate closely with anesthesiologists, CRNAs, physician assistants, perioperative/peri-anesthesia teams, ED clinicians, hospitalists, and the wound clinic team
- Educate patients and families on procedures, risks/benefits, and post-operative care plans
- Review diagnostic testing and address abnormalities
- Provide surgical support for palliative care, pain management, and end-of-life decision-making
- Participate in departmental meetings and ongoing professional development
- Maintain compliance with OSHA Category I standards (bloodborne pathogen precautions)
- Compensation: Base salary $285,000 – $320,000 annually + productivity-based incentives (structured in compliance with Vermont Act 155)
- Required: Active VT license, DEA, CPR, NPDB self query report, clean malpractice
