General Surgery Locums Job in West Virginia | Seeking 7-10 Days per Month Starting November + Ongoing in 2026

Jackson and Coker is partnered with a southern West Virginia hospital that is urgently seeking locums coverage in September & ongoing. Anticipating an ongoing need of 7-10 days of call coverage per month that will continue to extend into 2026. Are you available for the specific open dates outlined below?

24 hour call coverage is needing on the following dates: 
* Will be required to come in 1 day early (must be a week day) to complete training + orientation prior to starting coverage
--Monday, November 17 at 7AM - Friday, November 21 at 7AM 
--Tuesday, December 2 at 7AM – Friday, December 5 at 7AM
--Monday, December 22 at 7AM - Friday, December 26 at 7AM

Description/Requirements for Assignment #110846:
* Location: central/southern region of West Virginia - approximately a two hour drive to Roanoke 
* Active and unrestricted West Virginia license required
* Coverage need: 24-hour call coverage only; no clinic needs | 7A - 7A
* Seeking 7-10 day stretches of 24-hour call coverage beginning in July and ongoing
* Bread & Butter General Surgery with some light (level 4 trauma) - upper/lower scopes are highly preferred but are not required 
* Average patient volume on a daily basis: 5-15 patients per day, average 2-3 surgeries per day (at most, may have some days with less surgeries)
* Will primarily cover the ED - may have to do some patient rounding on some attached patients as needed
* Facility details: 90+ beds, level 4 trauma center, MediTech EMR, emergency privileges available (need a clean or near clean file to allow for these privs)
