A facility is seeking a Neurosurgeon for locum tenens coverage.
The facility is located in South Georgia.
We are seeking 24-hour interventional stroke call coverage, with no IR call coverage required. The role involves performing carotid/cerebral stenting as needed during thrombectomies, with 24/7 TeleSpecialist support for acute stroke coverage in the ED and RAPID software to identify candidates. A case log requirement includes having performed 15 thrombectomies in the last 12 months or 30 in the last 24 months. There is no in-house requirement for stroke call; the interventionalist will receive a call or text from the neurology or ED physician, discuss the case, review imaging, and then page/call in the angiography team. No gratis hours are required for weekend call.
