Neurosurgery Locums Job in Pennsylvania | 24/7 Trauma Coverage | Beginning January 2 – Ongoing | Assignment #112399

Coverage Details:
-- Dates Needed: January 2–5, 12–25, 30–31
-- Ongoing additional dates anticipated
-- 24/7 neurosurgical trauma call coverage
-- Temporary privileges available (Estimated credentialing timeframe: 10 days)

Call Details:
-- Call only; taken from home
-- Call type: Beeper
-- Call response time: 30 minutes
-- Shifts: 8 AM – 8 AM

Requirements:
-- Board Certified through the American Board of Neurological Surgery
-- Fellowship required
-- Licensed in PA or IMLC with LOC in hand

Required Skills:
-- General Neurosurgery – Adult, Trauma
-- Tumors
-- Stereotactic radiosurgery
-- VP shunt
-- Spinal surgery with instrumentation: Cervical, Thoracic, Lumbar
-- Spinal surgery without instrumentation: Cervical, Thoracic, Lumbar
-- Peripheral nerve surgery
-- Placement of ICP monitors
-- Application of external traction

Assignment Details:
-- Rounding on approximately 10–12 inpatients daily
-- Respond to STAT/Trauma consults within 30 minutes; regular consults within 24 hours (average 3–4 new consults per day)
-- Level I Trauma facility
-- Support Staff: 3 RNs, 2 APPs
-- EMR: Epic
