Neurosurgery Locums Job in Virginia | ASAP and Ongoing | Spine Focus, Clinic, and Call

One of our partnering facilities is seeking ten days of Neurosurgery locums coverage beginning as soon as late-February/March and ongoing for at least one year. Client is looking for qualified Neurosurgeons with training and/or experience in spine. Virginia licensed candidates are required due to urgency of need.

Dates Needed:
--February 26 - March 14
--March 12-23
--April 16-26
 
Job Details:
--Reason for coverage: Vacancy in department
--Coverage needed: 10 days per month 
--Schedule: 24-hour call, 7am-7am
  - OR block time: Monday and Fridays + call
  - Clinic: Tuesday - Thursday, 8am-5pm + call  
  - 24-hour call Saturday and Sunday, on call during clinic and OR days 
--Patients per day: 15-18 in clinic, follow ups and new pts
--Clinic schedule: 15 min for f/u and 30 min for new pts
--Procedures: Spinal focus, no scoliosis
 
Facility Details: 
--Department staff: 2 Neurosurgeons, 2-3 APPs
--Locums will be sole physician on call/in unit 
--Bed count: 200+
--Not a designated trauma center
--EMR: Meditech
--Primary Stroke Center 
 
Locum Requirements:
--Virginia License 
--Board Certified required
--Experience and/or Spinal Fellowship required
