Santa Clara Valley Healthcare (SCVH), a large public teaching healthcare system, affiliated with Stanford University School of Medicine, is seeking a full-time BC/BE Orthopaedic Tumor/Joint Surgeon with fellowship training in Orthopaedic Oncology to join the dynamic practice in our Department of Orthopaedic.

Owing to its geographic location and specialty offerings, SCVMC not only serves the County, but also the larger region.
Providers in our health system also can use our integrated electronic health record (Epic), which brings together systemwide patient information. The Health Information Management Systems Society (HIMSS) recognized SCVMC for achieving its highest level of success (Stage 7), based on our continuous innovation and optimization of our inpatient and outpatient EHR.

About the Department
The Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at (Login for Information) (SCVMC) provides care to the patients of Santa Clara County, primarily at the SCVMC, which is an ACS certified Level 1 trauma center and O'Connor Hospital (OCH). The SCVMC Orthopaedic Department also facilitates the coordination of orthopaedic safety net care within the greater Santa Clara Valley Healthcare system, which includes SCVMC, OCH, St. Louise Regional Hospital, and Regional Medical Center. Successful candidates will join a team of fellowship-trained in orthopedic trauma, joint reconstruction and sports surgeons in the clinical care of patients, education and training of Stanford University Medical Students and Orthopaedic Residents and participate in the hospital and system-wide quality improvement projects. SCVMC Orthopedist serve as affiliated faculty of the Stanford Department of Orthopaedic Surgery with ability to collaborate on research and clinical care initiatives.
About the Position
The preferred candidates should be proficient in the management of benign and malignant orthopaedic oncology conditions in children and adults and possess the ability to take Level 1 Orthopaedic Trauma call and have a strong interest in joint reconstruction. This position is ideal for highly motivated surgeons with a desire to run an orthopaedic oncology practice in a growing orthopaedic department in one of the second largest county health care system in California. This is also an excellent opportunity to serve as a clinical educator for Stanford Orthopaedic Residents and Medical Students.
Candidates must be Board certified or Board eligible in Orthopaedic Surgery, have a valid California Medical and Fluoroscopy license; have an MD degree, and fellowship training in Orthopaedic Oncology.
