Urgent Locum Tenens Job | Orthopedic Trauma Call Coverage

We are seeking a skilled Orthopedic Surgeon to provide 24-hour call coverage for a premier Level II Trauma Center in the Texas Panhandle. This is a 'call-only' assignment with no clinical responsibilities, designed to support a dedicated surgical team during a temporary leave of absence.

Available Dates:
--February: ASAP – 28
--March: 1 – 4 and 16 – 31

Position Overview:
--Assignment Type: 24-hour Call Coverage (7:00 AM – 7:00 AM)
--Location: Texas (Regional Hub)
--Facility: Level II Trauma Center
--Scope: Call only; no clinic responsibilities.
--Volume: Average of 2–10 consults and 2–4 procedures per 24-hour shift.
--Response Time: Must be within 30 minutes of the facility (Hotel-based call is permitted).
--Experience: Must have significant Trauma experience.
--Education: Orthopedic Trauma Fellowship is preferred but not required.
--Licensing: Active Texas medical license preferred.
--Credentialing: Temporary privileges available for candidates with a clean file and NPDB.
--Proximity: Strong preference for candidates residing in-state or in neighboring states to streamline travel.
