(Login for Information) at the University of Texas at Austin, in collaboration with (Login for Information) is seeking qualified candidates for a one- to two-year Faculty Instructor position in Pediatric Cardiac Surgery. This is an exceptional opportunity to gain advanced experience in congenital heart surgery and contribute to a dynamic academic medical center focused on innovation in care delivery, education, and research.

The selected candidate will join a high-performing, multidisciplinary team and work closely with internationally recognized physician leaders in pediatric cardiac care. The position is ideal for individuals seeking to advance their expertise in the surgical and perioperative management of children with complex congenital and acquired heart disease.

What You’ll Do:

  • Provide direct patient care before, during, and after cardiac surgery.
  • Work collaboratively within a team-based, multidisciplinary care model.
  • Participate regularly in the education and training of medical students and residents.
  • Engage in program development and clinical research initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • MD or equivalent from an accredited medical school.
  • Completion of an ACGME-accredited cardiothoracic residency program or international equivalent.
  • Meets applicable credentialing and privileging standards.
  • Eligible for an unrestricted Texas medical license (or has completed all steps of the USMLE prior to starting the role).
  • Eligible for faculty appointment in the (Login for Information).
  • A self-starter with a commitment to clinical excellence, education, and academic growth.
  • Experience caring for children with complex congenital and acquired heart disease
