Plastic Surgery Locums Job in Michigan | 24-Hour Call | Beginning ASAP – December 31 | Assignment #114010

Shift Description
-- 24-hour trauma call coverage (7:00 AM – 7:00 AM)
-- Approximately 19 days per month
-- Call ratio negotiable
-- Estimated credentialing timeframe: ASAP

Requirements
-- Board Certified in Plastic Surgery (boarded within 5 years of training)
-- Active Michigan license
-- ACLS
-- BLS – highly preferred

Required Procedures/Skills
-- Hand-related procedures
-- Traumatic hand reconstruction
-- General plastic surgery procedures including facial laceration repair, scar revisions, skin grafts, and flaps
-- Minor burn care

Assignment Details
-- Practice Setting: 24-hour Trauma Call (ACS Verified Level One Trauma Center)
-- Patient demographics: Ages 15+ (adolescent through geriatric)
-- Case volume: Average 1 surgical case per month; summer months approximately 3 per month
-- Annual ER volume: 90,000
-- Clinic responsibilities: In-person response for required procedures
---- Supported through Trauma Clinic: Tuesdays, 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM
-- Number of plastic/hand providers on staff:
---- 1 hand coverage provider
---- 1 community plastics provider
---- 2 hospital-employed orthopedic hand providers
