Surgery-Thoracic Hospital Based job located in Kansas

The Mid-America Division is seeking a non-cardiac thoracic surgeon to lead our programs in lung and esophageal surgery. 

Qualified Candidates:

• Thoracic surgery fellowship and ABTS certification required
• Broad skillset in thoracic surgery, a subspecialty interest is preferred
• Ability to obtain licensure in both Missouri and Kansas

Program Highlights:

• Position will be based at Menorah Medical Center in Overland Park, Kansas and Research Medical Center in Kansas City, Missouri
• Dedicated thoracic surgery team including experienced OR nurses, surgical technologists and physician assistants who specialize in thoracic procedures and complex post-operative care
• Comprehensive surgical resources including advanced imaging systems, navigational bronchoscopy and specialized instrumentation for both open and minimally invasive approaches
• Thoracic surgeons operate in two metro facilities with a robust and growing structural heart program anchored at Research Medical Center
• Educate the next generation of physicians through our ACGME accredited cardiology fellowship program 
• Ability to participate in a full array of industry-leading, innovative clinical trials and contribute to the extensive portfolio of peer-reviewed publications
