Job Description
Hospital is seeking BC Locum Trauma Surgeon to start ASAP until we hire a full timer
• Schedule: M-F 7a-4p, 3 weeknights per week 4p-7a, Sat/Sun 7a-7a call
• On Call Requirements: 3 nights per week and weekends
• Average Number of Trauma Surgical Cases Per Day: 5
• Level 1 Trauma
• Annual ER Volume: 80K
• Percentage of ED Patients Admitted to the Hospital: 35%
• Total Number of Beds: 617
• EMR: Epic
• OR Staff Full compliment
• Patient Age Demographic: Primarily Adult/Geri but occasionally child/adolescent
• Procedures required: Adult trauma cases, Geriatric trauma cases, Penetrating trauma cases, Blunt trauma cases, Chest Tube Insertion
• Laparoscopic Procedures Required: Appendectomy, Cholecystectomy
• Required: Active CT license, ACLS, DEA, Trauma fellowship training
