A hospital is seeking a Trauma Surgeon for locum tenens coverage.
The facility is located in Northeastern Georgia.
The position requires 24-hour call coverage (7 a.m. to 7 a.m.) beginning as soon as credentialed and continuing on an ongoing basis. Candidates must be board-certified in both General Surgery and Critical Care, with recent experience within the past 12 months. Responsibilities include responding to ALPHAs and BRAVOs, performing emergency surgeries, and some rounding. Patient volume varies, with an average of 25 trauma cases per call shift and a daily census of approximately 2530 patients. Credentialing typically takes 6090 days.
