A hospital is seeking a trauma surgeon for locum tenens coverage.
Northwestern Georgia is home to beautiful waterfalls and walking trails! While on assignment, visit Tallulah Gorge State Park, Anna Ruby Falls, or Brasstown Bald!
The schedule includes 12-hour in-house call with possible backup call, as well as various shift options, including 12, 15, or 24-hour shifts throughout the week, with occasional weekend or night coverage. The facility averages 15-20 shifts per month. Daily volumes include approximately 35 trauma cases and 35 emergency general surgery (EGS) cases. The EGS census typically ranges from 20-35 patients. APPs provide support, and permanent surgeons are on staff. EPIC is the EMR system used. Credentialing takes approximately 120 days. Candidates must be board certified, possess a current Georgia license, and meet all other qualifications listed.
