Job Description

Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center, a regional tertiary care center and ACS-verified Level II trauma center, is seeking a trauma and acute care surgeon to join our dynamic team. Candidates must be BC/BE in general surgery and surgical critical care.

  • Join a group of 7 surgeons and 7 APPs that provide 24/7 trauma, critical care and emergency general surgery coverage
  • Schedule consists of a mix of 8, 16 and 24 hour (weekends) in-house shifts with approximately 5 night shifts a month including weekend rotation
  • This group also functions as intensivists for all surgical patients
  • About one fourth of the surgical practice is elective, based on patients referred from the community and seen by us in the emergency room
