This facility operates as a Level 1 trauma center providing comprehensive emergency and operative trauma surgery services. The hospital maintains established protocols and staffing to support high-acuity trauma care across OR and ER settings. Locum tenens coverage is utilized to supplement the existing call schedule and ensure continuity of trauma surgery services.

The trauma surgeon will provide 24-hour in-house call coverage supporting OR and ER operations at a Level 1 trauma facility in New York. Call coverage is required, and clinicians must hold general surgery board certification; Surgical Critical Care board certification is preferred but not required. The position is on-site and requires immediate availability to respond to trauma activations and surgical cases throughout the assigned call period.
