Job Description:
Our 1099 Contracted Virtual Urgent Care Physicians provide high quality, patient-centered, acute care services through secure video and phone consultations. This role is responsible for evaluating, diagnosing, and treating low to moderate acuity medical conditions while delivering exceptional patient experience in a fully remote environment.
The ideal candidate combines strong clinical acumen with excellent communication skills and the ability to manage care efficiently in a technology-enabled model.
Responsibilities:
- Provide real-time medical consultations to patients via video, phone, or chat platforms.
- Assess, diagnose, and treat a wide range of non-emergency medical conditions remotely.
- Prescribe medications in accordance with evidence-based guidelines and regulatory requirements.
- Document patient encounters accurately in electronic health records.
- Educate patients on self-care, preventive measures, and treatment plans.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals as needed.
- Contribute to maintain clinical guidelines and standard operating procedures.
Requirements:
Education:
- Board certification in family medicine, emergency medicine, internal medicine, or related field.
- Valid medical license (MD, DO) in the relevant state(s).
- Multi State licensure (Compact State participation preferred)
- Minimum 5 years of post-residency experience (Urgent Care, emergency medicine, internal medicine or primary care)
Experience:
- Prior telehealth experience in urgent care, emergency medicine, or primary care preferred.
- Proficiency with telemedicine technology and electronic health records.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
